Wreath-Adorned Christmas Porch

posted in:

Happy Friday! This week has been pretty tough with both of our pups having surgery but we’re getting through it and I’m excited to share something that has brought me joy throughout the week – our wreath-adorned Christmas porch.

Speaking of pups… Brooke is doing really well (she was spayed this week)! She’s acting like she didn’t have surgery at all which makes it quite difficult with her sister who is not exactly on the same level yet, whatsoever.

For months and months I’ve envisioned putting wreaths on every panel of our screened porch. I just could never find something that was inexpensive but fit our style to justify buying 6 of them. Then I found THESE wreaths right before Thanksgiving for less than $10 and knew I right away what to do with them. Make sure to check if they’re available at your local Walmart! A lot of the time it says things are out of stock but I’ve been able to order them for in-store pick-up.

I love the color red (it’s my favorite) and I love it even more during Christmas time so I knew from the beginning that I wanted to use a satin red ribbon. It’s a classic! I decided to pair it with a few pillows I picked up from H&M to add touches of green and another classic, buffalo check. I really love how the green H&M patterned pillow looks against the buffalo check and ties in the green color from the trees.

THIS pillow is 60% off right now and THESE buffalo check pillows are under $15 for two covers. I suggest using THESE inserts and sizing up so if you get the 20″ cover order the 22″ insert.

To hang the wreaths I was going to use Command hooks but we ended up just nailing a small nail and tying a bow at the top. I probably won’t even remove the nails when we take them down at the end of the season. If it really bothers me I’ll paint the nails white and you won’t even be able to tell they’re there.

As for the little flocked tree, that was a Home Goods find from a few years ago and one of the few pieces of Christmas decor we had when we moved here. I did see the same ones in Home Goods recently though so they might have them in yours!

Wouldn’t a tiny fire to roast s’mores around be so perfect out here? I’ve seen a few that (according to their labels) would be safe and I think it would be so perfect. Maybe someday!

I hope this outdoor porch inspires you all this season. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask! I hope you all have a great weekend.
